Week 3 Winners and Losers

Carmen’s shirtless mess:

Project Runway - Carmen's menswear design
EEK. Disaster. It’s too bad, because with an actual shirt and if the pants fit better, it would be good. But hey, construction counts! (See also: Sweet Pea and Ricky–also with failures in construction.)

Jack’s winning design:

Jack’s definitely wasn’t my favorite, although it was certainly one of the best. My favorite? Actually, none of the top three. I’d say either Chris March’s, Jillian’s, or Rami’s, although my taste in what men in real life wear is much more conservative than anything you’d see on Project Runway. I’m not really into men dressing all flashy.

Chris March–again a surprise, considering he’s a rather flamboyant costume designer!

Jillian Lewis. She’s really under the radar, and she’s not gonna win. She’s good, but she’s not outstanding, not knock-em-dead–at least not yet. But as far as menswear goes, I don’t want to see something that’s particularly arresting.

Definitely the most conservative look–Rami’s, which surprised me. I frankly didn’t know what to expect from him, considering his usual style. If I had to buy any of these for a man, I’d buy this one. I guess it’s too “boring” for Project Runway and Tiki Barber, though.

To see and rate all of the designs, go here. Which were your favorites? Which was your least favorite? And what were Tiki and the judges thinking by giving Christian’s hideous design a pass?!

Project Runway Week 3!

November 29, 2007 · Leave a Comment

Confession: I’m being a bad citizen tonight, watching the replays of Project Runway instead of the YouTube Republican debate. One might say it’s elitist to have disdain for a YouTube “debate,” but hey, I’m here blogging Project Runway. How elitist can I really be?
:-P

I’ll continue this post later when this week’s show comes on later. I’m just starting this so I have no excuse for possible laziness later. Heeee.

OK, it’s later. Live bloggin’ it!

God, I hope Elisa or Christian get “aufed” this week. Hate them. Hate. Hate their crappy ridiculous designs, hate them. Ick.

I am not loving this week with the mens’ designs and the scary drooling over the male models. Seriously, you don’t see the female designers acting stupid about it, so what the hell with the gay guys? Act like you’ve done this shit before, wouldja? And Elisa? “Shy?” Shut up, please. Gawd.

Er…why should anyone care about Tiki Barber’s wife? Seriously?

Well, this should be interesting anyway. Some of these people are going to fail miserably with mens wear. Like, a lingerie designer? LOL!

Oh dear. Carmen. Sweet P. Awful. Victorya, what is that collar? Ick, Elisa. The women did horribly, except for Kit.

Here we go–they’re ripping on Sweet P. They like Kit and Jack, and I agree. As I expected, the lingerie designer cannot design menswear. Oooh, Tiki’s busting his chops! Tiki liked Kevin’s design, but Heidi didn’t. Oh, Carmen…so awful. I hope it’s not her who gets the boot. (Crosses fingers for it to be Ricky, but we’ll have to see him cry again!)

Heh, I knew it–Jack’s design won. Good.

DAMN. Carmen’s out. DAMN. Well, she has the right attitude–she’s out on menswear and not on stuff she normally does. I hope next week they weed out one of the lame ones (Christian, Elisa, Ricky).

Pictures will go up later!
